Anion burning quick

Hey, bought this cation+anion+mixedbed resin but the anion is going very fast.
This color change is from around 150 (39 Gallons) liters of water going through the anoin in red
Why is it so fast burning?

Carbonate is not carbon dioxide.

Desalinated seawater would not likely have a lot of excess carbon dioxide, but that tds is very high.

Maybe the di is just too small for that tds.

But i am running an RO system, the output after the membrane is around 12 at average

Maybe the anion resin was not packed well and water channeled through it, or wasn’t properly recharged (where did you get it?)
 
DI cartridges are usually filled water in at bottom and out the top to prevent trapping air. The picture looks like that is not the case?

I burn thru anion as well, I have them split out in to two canisters. I don't mind, and the rodi unit produces 0 TDS water.

I did buy a 3d printed packer, as doing this by hand is messy, and I'm hoping this might help a little.
 
Here's my example. I get far more than you, I'd estimate this is probably after 150g but still, it's the only one that is depleted.

What source water do you use? As I mentioned, carbon dioxide is the primary culprit.

I think I spoke too soon. The pressure used in desalination is known to drive CO2 into the water during desalination of seawater, and that is likely causing the issue.

Look into ways to degas the water, then repressurize it for the ro/di. It is a common problem with well water and there are many threads on it.
