Anion/Cation color changing mix together

I know about the mix bed anion color changing and mix bed cation changing...

But if i have anion changing and cation changing each one in a bag.
Can i mix those to together ?
First tought... yes.
But, maybe no ?

You could. It may just be difficult to look for the color change with two dark colored resins in the same cartridge.

Ok good so the diferent dye will not interfere eatch other.
I see it like a way to estimated whit just 1 canister the rate i consume each one.
And if really need a more advance instalation.

Example, if the blue anion depleted 4 time more...
I will see more purple cation standing in the pale depleted anion.

Does that make sens ?

Yes that makes sense. This is a great way to create a "custom" mixed bed resin. Like you mentioned, if you know that you go through anion resin 4x faster than cation, just create a 4 parts anion to 1 part cation mix for yourself. Of course, running three separate canisters would be easier, but if adding additional canisters isn't an option, this would be the next best choice to achieve max efficiency.
