I'm currently setting up my first big tank. 6x2x2. I haven't decided on all my fish, but trying to sort out the big ones I want. Just wondering if the tank is big enough for comfort and aggression?
So far I've got

Fox face
Kole eye
Yellow tang
Orange shoulder.

I also want to add a scopias but I know your not suppose to mix zebrasomas. I've been reefing for almost 20 years but never had anything bigger then a 75. I had a kole by itself for years.

The foxface and tangs may be at odds sometimes. That being said if I had 180g to play with I'd have the combo. The tangs should have enough room as well. You can easily fit two tangs in that beast!

The Fox, Kole and Yellow Tang will work in the long term, but the Orange shoulder I’d say even in a 6 foot tank is only a temporary fish. These guys get big - and whilst you’d think a minimum of a 1’ long fish would probably work, they contain a hyperactivity like no other tang. I personally adore them however I would say they’re best suited towards 6’x3’-8’x3’ (I’ve found the extra foot in width makes a large difference in swim room, especially with tangs) coral trays in the long term.

That's kinda what I was thinking unfortunately. Orange shoulder is one of my favorite tangs. What would you recommend for a big center piece fish in a tank this size? I know big in this case is subjective.

I wouldn't say you can't mix zebrasomas,i have a yellow and a purple in a 6 foot tank with a hippo and a fox face.
