Indeed it's beautiful, but my savings has already been compromised by getting the gymnothorax ruppelliae which is coming to me on Monday haha, but I'll definitely try, it's hard for me to let go of such a rare species (might sell a kidney) haha

I ask because in most pictures they are a solid yellow with random black blotches not this complex pattern. Is this the pattern of a juvenile?

The one on the top looks like it but the bottom does indeed have a pattern. Lots like a golden tail too. But they’re are not many dark spots if it is a canary.

It definitely looks like a golden tail, which potentially has the ability to develop into a different colour as it grows similar to how the emperor angel does it! But I am not exactly sure since i couldn't find a proper full body picture of this eel so @ISpeakForTheSeas can definitely confirm it

It's sadly too late for that eel, but i believe there is that one eel which I've been waiting for about 2 years now, i believe that it's a seasonal eel which they usually catch once a year on march, when I first saw it I was mind blown, but I didn't have a tank big enough so this was the picture from 2 years ago! And another one from a year ago! (Which has black blotches on it)

Don't be surprised if I end up making another eel id thread incase if I do get this guy Lol, i believe that ive become an expert in troubling @Slocke and @ISpeakForTheSeas with the amount of times I've been asking for ID's Lol

After some more research i realised this eel has about 2 or 3 more colour morphs! It's ridiculous! Lol
