A little while back @Dr. Reef made a post on a thread offering to replace any lost fish from previous orders regardless of the time frame and I sent them a message regarding a flame angel and exquisite firefish that I lost some time ago. I wasn’t really expecting anything at all and was totally fine with it if they denied my request as I have been extremely satisfied with my previous orders with them. To my surprise they said it would be possible to do at no cost, which is something unheard of to me.
Fast forward to when the fish arrived, as usual everything was packed well and I’m fortunate enough to be able to accomodate for extra fish if needed so he sent me two of both the flame anged and exquisite firefish in the sizes that I requested. Packaging was great and the fish were double bagged to account for possible punctures. All four fish also arrived safely and were alert in the bags. One of the flame angels had a couple spots from lymphocystis which went away within a couple days. I emailed them about it as well and they also gave some recommendations to help treat it. In general I’ve had no issues with communicating with them through email. Whatever they don’t reply to within the day (sometimes within the hour, even) they’ll reply to the next day. The firefish had no issues eating right away whether it be frozen or pellet. The flame angels were a little more finicky, the larger of the two spent a couple days getting used to the tank but now competes with my tangs and butterflies for food when I feed the tank. The smaller flame angel still hasn’t taken to prepared foods but is regularly picking at the algae on my rockwork so I’ll give it some more time. All in all though, all fish arrived healthy and I think that contributed greatly to them easily finding their place in my DT. Now all that’s left is to see if my flames will pair up.
Overall exceptional level of service, great communication, and nothing but satisfaction with my orders from Dr. Reef. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again even though I have to apply for import permits every time I do
