This is my second JBJ Intermediate tank failure, the first being 4 years ago. I realized that the tank was no longer under warranty, but I figured I would call customer service to see if we could work something out because this is the second tank that has sprung a leak from one of the seams, and now there is also damage to the stand ,and that will also have to be replaced. The sad part is the tank starts leaking at a time when the I finally got it to where everything is looking good , and the corals are thriving. Well in all fairness to JBJ they did offer to discount a new tank by 20 dollars plus another 99 dollars for shipping but I expressed to them that I did not want the sme tank because I did not want to go through the process of swapping tanks all over again in the event the tank starts to leak again. When asked if they would be willing to work with me on the purchase of their 45 cube plus a stand at a discounted rate, I was quickly told that they are not authorized o replace a tank that was not originally purchased....hmmmm? It's not like I am asking for anything free, I would just think that a large international company like JBJ would make good on obviously defective tanks. Soooo frustrating!
