Drop off tanks are insanely bad ideas.
Any time an interior angle is cut into glass or acrylic, the failure rate drastically increases. Moreover, of the two "bottoms" are not EXACTLY matches to their respective depths, them one side of the other is going to be carrying more of the load than it should, putting even more stress on the seams and the interior corner.
if the stand is not fully rigid, then torsion effects will impart tremendous forces on the seams and interior corner, etc.

I don’t know how we would be able to quantify the failure rates, but given the design mechanics, would be statistically higher than a rectangular tank of the same volume or footprint (higher volume).
Anyway, those are my thoughts on the matter… not that they matter.

anyway here's a close up of the aluminum stand supported premium redsea line. See how the tank is fully supported by the aluminum/metal strip. There's no floating front glass.
If they thought that even the smallest premium line ie S400 and S550 needed the full floating glass supported, why didn't they do something similar for the normal reefer G2 line
It looks like the larger G2 models have that aluminum support rail across the front now. Have seen it in some photos of member tanks.

Well the new G2+ system is setup. The sides of this one are 1/4 thicker than the front and back (prior was all equal thickness). Will this remedy the seal failure? No. I will baby the edges and mark time...for now. Of course with the move over my Neptune gear is now all failing. This hobby just keeps on giving.

Oh based on their quick full replacement they know. Will this remedy the design flaw? No. The stand isn't braced and the front glass is still "floating".

Hey! Do you mind uploading a pic of the Serial Number label? Or Pm me? We’re discussing Gen 2 seam fails in a local club with an LFS owner who has contact with a Red Sea rep. Apparently the Red Sea rep says there is no documented seam fails for G2 tanks, which I know isn’t true due to all the posts I’ve seen.

Also, my tank failure wasn't related to the stand. It was due to the tank design.

As an update: The new tank arrived and was installed Aug 23, 2024. So we are 1 year in and this is what is starting to happen..again. I have been ultra careful around the seams but this is just a slow crawl that happens. I AM under warrantee for another 4 years but..I can't go through this again. I lost a number of corals in the transfer last time.

Either way, bite the bullet, buy a new tank, set it up and transfer everything into it. Get Red Sea to send you a new one, But leave it in the original packaging and sell it for as close to retail as you can. Use the $ to offset the cost of the new (not Red Sea) you set up.
I’m a seal survivor as well. The G2 is holding up fine, but I went and bought a Waterbox 150. Once I get that going, I’m selling the RS for 50% of retail as it’s used. I’ll be out of pocket but I didn’t think it through when the seam failure happened. I just went ahead and set the new one up. In hindsight, I would have done it the way I suggested to you.
I lost fish and coral with mine as well, hopefully your losses this go will be minimal or none.

It's just a poor design. Silicone only is asking for failure. It needs a support frame or something.
A 425 G2+. They sent me the full setup, cabinet, sump, the works. I have 4 years of warrantee left so they will have to do something..again. The problem with your suggestion is 1. Warrantee is void if I sell. 2. It comes on a pallet so shipping is totally out of the question. HAVE to be local only. But yeah I can't go through this again. I've got over $10k in gear and thousands in fish and coral. Once this is "resolved" it might be time to go to my local and offer him a sweet package deal and be done with it.
