so i have a baby yellow currently tank size is shallow 120 4x2x18" interested in another tang

My current fish list:
Regal angel
Yellow tang
Midas blenny
Royal gramma

anyways ill list some tangs im interested in

White cheek powder (these anything like the powder blue iv had 1 before and it paced alot i dont want that)

Black (now this would be my dream tang but i already have a zebrasoma)

purple tang (it would be the same size as my current yellow it looks like)

Gem tang (again around the same size as my yellow)

as you can see i like zebrasomas 🤣 but i'm just not sure it's possible to add 1

The regal is boss of the tank and my yellow is rather timid

I keep a wild yellow and a 2 spot bristletooth together in one tank. In another I have 1 wild yellow, 3 biota yellows and purple along with a few others. Tanks are very peaceful but one never knows how individual fish will behave. Most report that purples are mean but mine is really relaxed and actually a bit shy. Fish have been together ranging from 2 years up to 9+ years.

i believe you have a rather large tank though?

but my yellow is very very timid it nearly died due to my regal bullying it until i sorted the regal right out

the story if you care

the tank was like 1 big cave and the regal took it all as his territory i took away 80% of his territory and left him with his own cave and seemed to sort out the aggression

I think another zebramosa will be a prib if not immediatly down the road for sure. Yes the white cheek will race up and down like a powder blue. Also like a powder blue they get very mean. What about a tomini tang. Perfect size for that size tank.

I would say most Acanthurus need swimming space. They all pace. Have owned brown, blue, and hybrids all love to pace big time. Give them current and they will fight other fish for the spot. Have seen it plenty in my tank haha.

Achilles being the craziest of all.

Zebra, and ctenochaetus will be better for less swimming or pacing.
