Another Triton Result?

I received my Triton results for my little office nano yesterday and all my levels came back with only two out of whack, Li and Se. Li is high but almost every test I have seen indicates this, all others were very close to normal except Se. My corals (all sps) are looking fine and growing as expected, my other livestock seem happy. I am not too worried since I dont seem to have any problems but its still bothersome. So..... any clue where this comes from, should I be concerned?

Fwiw the best salt with nothing wrong ive seen was tropic marine pro.

I have never seen a tank with an elevated selenium result.

Do you have anything unusual in the tank, or use tap water?

Randy, thanks for the reply. For the last 1.5 years the tank has been up I use ro/di, hw-marine reefer salt, dose b-ionic...thats it. I feed the usual fish food in small amounts and reef-roids every other day. I have never lost a single coral and they look fine. Colors are good with nice extension and although growth is less than I anticipated, wouldn't call it slow by any means. I am not too worried...but....it is something I dont like to see

Assuming the test is accurate, think this level is something to worry about? I have no idea at what levels Se is troublesome.

We had Se pop up in our Unique aceways for a while back- at 40-70ppb concentrations. We attributed it to a different chopped shellfish mix we were feeding our corals and fish. Once we stopped using that food the levels dropped and eventually went to zero after water changes and continual use of carbon and skimming. It could have been coincidental or it could have been coming from the foods. Either way we didn't experience ill effects from it that we were aware of. The lithium is something that American reefers experience. I actually dose it on a few tanks we service. These tanks use Tropic Marin Pro only if a water change is absolutely necessary which is hardly ever. Other wise the only other source of Li is from the Triton Base Elements we use which doesn't spike the levels above NSW.

I have no idea what levels are an issue, but I wouldn't worry over it if the tank seems fine. :)

Thanks...thats what I plan to do. Might have another test done a few months from now just to see if there is any change.
