Kinda confused, so i got my diatom bloom around month 1, im on month 3. started getting this green/brown looking algae on the rocks, like green spores. I remember when I used marco rocks it was like this and it eventually got covered in coraline, am I going down the right path?

You're going to get all kinds of stuff over the life of your reef. I think everyone's journey is different. My WB 180.5 is developing much differently from my 65gal. So far I've mostly only had algae on the glass. Had about a month where some turf algae covered the rocks but that was barely visible and went away fairly easily. I'm wondering if my addition of marinepure ceramic balls to the sump has an impact. I have also been moving very slowly. The first 3 months I only had 2 fish in the tank. I rarely have detectable P. N is between 5 and 10. I somehow haven't even had diatoms in the sand yet. In my old tank I had it all by now. Dinos, cyano, etc. But that was also when 0 N and P was what everyone preached.

So I transferred a lot of corals over, now im confused about dosing

when dosing alk and cal does it matter what time of the day im doing it?

at the moment i dose alk at night and calcium during the day

I used to dose alk overnight to counteract the pH drop. But with this tank I'm using a DOS and trident and I dose 22 hours a day. I stop it during the period my daily awc is running. When you enable Trident controlled dosing, they recommend more dosing during the day because that is when more uptake occurs. I don't have a ton of sps and everything is just frags, so I left it spread out evenly. Same with my calc, but it's offset by 30 min.
Hope that made sense.
