Any chance of recovering?

I got this from a friend, appears to be bleaching with some algae growing on top. Any chance to bring it back or is it to late?

That a favia skeleton? That’s not bleaching that’s skeleton. A few portions look like they are still alive but to save it, you would really need to know what you’re doing and it would take months. Even then it would be a long shot.

Just leave it in the tank. Why kill it if there is a chance it will survive?

Some of my corals like a Kenya tree(limp) and another one isn't opening. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with that coral being half dead.

That's a wilsoni skeleton. Looks too far gone IMO but there always is a chance

The coral itself dying wouldn't cause a problem.
