Got this hammer from a friend for free since it wasn’t doing well in his system (all of his other euphyllia are fine supposedly), to try and bring it back. He said he thinks it’s just tissue receding, but I’m not sure if I should add it into either of my tanks. I dipped it well and blew off as much loose tissue as I could with a pipette. Is it worth putting in?

This is what it looked like this morning. I left it in the cup but put it in fresh saltwater I had mixing and left it overnight. I was hesitant to add it into my tank and have it wipe out my other corals. It looked MUCH better this morning before I left for work. I’ll inspect it closer this evening when I get home and see how I feel about adding it in.

Your parameters might be better than your friend (water and light). Slowly acclimate it to the low flow area for a week before moving it to it's desired area.

This is what it looked like a few days ago. It stayed in the bucket for ~36 hours and looked fine when I inspected it one last time before placing into my tank. I placed it next to my other hammers and they all are doing well with no signs of any BJD or anything else spreading.
