More like I like to get the best and not fiddle with it. [emoji3] I do t have one but it is on the list for the future. I don't mind spending money on quality equipment. I have been in the aquarium hobby since the age of 10 (now 62 **** I am old ) So it is an investment and my wife hates me fiddling with stuff on my tank when I can be paying attention to her. [emoji3]

So what your saying is Blue Energy pills for the tank and you is happy reefing? ;)
And OLD is such a big word in understanding......... we all know happy wife is happy reefing.:)

Simple and easy, you just tell it what ALK # you want your tank to run at and BINGO!

Yep, it's a pretty cool kit. If I had the extra cash laying around I'd grab one. Easier to get nowadays too since we have a US importer.

I don't mind either. If I felt it would be THAT much better than what I'm running I wouldn't mind spending the money they ask for. But honestly, a geo with carbon doser regulator and Cole parmer feed pump is downright simple. I test alk every single night and adjust IF needed. I would test alk daily still, even if I had a fancy reactor like the Dastaco. So, a couple grand is not going to save me any time anyways. Trust me, being self-employed and a father to a 4 year old and a 2 week old infant, I'm all about working smarter and not harder.

Just my opinion.

Never heard of a Dastaco and I've been in the hobby over 15 years.. I've had a Geo Calcium Reactor once, but with all the new tech stuff coming out though there was something else that might have come out. Geo is the way. Then I will stick with a geo...

With a calc rx, do you base adjustments off the calcium levels or kh?

DaStaco is German and if you don't keep up with the hobby around the globe. I can understand how you could not of heard of it. Glad that It is being distributed in the US now. I have a lot of friends in Germany and Holland that just love the set it and forget it nature of its controller.

Dastaco have been around for a while in Europe and yes UC is the only distributor in the US as we speak.
I've a lot of connections too in Germany and Holland, it's not that difficult if you speak both languages.
