Everything was fine, but just replaced my bulbs..changed to 4 400watt ushio 14k and 4 fiji purple t5ho( i was using xm20k).. now i have lost about 7 colonies of sps so far. they all got real light then they were gone. I did reduce photo period when i put on new lights....any thoughts

Sounds like you need to light acclimate your tank with some window screen. You need to get some window screening and place at least 4 layers of it over the tank below the lights, every 4 days remove one layer.

Huge jump in lighting!!!!! I would say the lights caused it either by being to bright or by making the tank to hot if I had to guess off what little info you provided..... Any more specs or anything??? Fwiw xm20k have very very low par you prolly tripled it by swapping bulbs so I would go with that first.... I have also exp bleaching over 82* in my tank......

Definetly the lighting if all was well than the sudden light change. That's a good reason for the outcome your haveing is everything bleechin out but you still have PE maybe once you decrease intensity they will start to comeback if you can raise the lights than do so or the window screens should work also even the dimeable ballast would have been great in this situation GL

When I change bulbs, I do one bulb at a time and and wait a couple weeks between each change. Your damage does sound like burn. You can put a couple layers of window screen between the bulbs and water and take a layer off each week or two.
