Any ideas how AI's Axis DC pumps work electrically? Interested in making a controller for it.

I'm interested in seeing if I can replace the DC controller on the AI Axis 40 pump, but I'm not sure how the Axis pump works. Is it just a DC motor, and the factory controller is just PWMing the 24V supply to get the duty cycle for the various speeds? Making your own controller in that case - just a MOSFET to switch the 24VDC - seems pretty doable.

Curious if anyone has gone down that route and might be able to provide some insights?

These kinds of projects are outside of my area of comfort, but I do feel comfortable giving you a bump for an interesting project.

I would offer advice if you asked how to burn down a house with only tampering with the electrical wiring but you are looking for DC connection information that I don't have. GL
