Any Maxspect Recurve owners?

Any feedback?

I have a 48 x24 x 24 120 mixed.

I don't think I've seen too many builds incorporate this light, perhaps someone in the #reefsquad can think of one. You could also search for "Maxspect Recurve" in the R2R search bar to see if you get any tank builds or reviews :)

Not a ton of info when I searched. I am hoping someone has some experience with it. Looks interesting. About to pull the trigger on new lights.

I just purchased the 48 ft R6-120 version. It was on sale for half price ($650) on BRS because it is being discontinued. I think the high price was a big factor in its discontinuation. The smaller ones are still in production.

I think its a fantastic light, and I just started playing with it. The side LEDS really help the overall light up of the tank.

I looked at one. My reason for passing was concerns over too little output from the diffused wings. Based off my research they need to probably be twice as much diffused light to truly replace / replicate a LED t5 hybrid.

There are definitely things I like about my current maxspect, and things I don't. For that reason I will be switching to kessil instead.
