Any recommendations for cabin rentals?

So my SO and I have been trying to plan for our honeymoon next year. We aren't officially engaged yet but we already know we want to get married and have the rings, he's just waiting for the proper time to propose. We would love to find a cabin by a lake, that's as much as we know for what we want. Location, state we have no clue except that it will be in the fall so not somewhere freezing. He hates snow, I like it but don't want to be freezing the entire week. The biggest most difficult factor is that we are on a budget, we are looking for $200 and under per night. I've been looking at some places on lake Tahoe and he's been looking at some Tennessee lakes but we are open to other areas. So what are some suggestions from you guys, maybe places you've been to before that was quite memorable but still easy on the wallet?

The only one I have experience with is in Maine, so probably not ideal for the fall (though it is beautiful). Here's a bump for you, though!

The finger lakes in upstate NY are pretty nice. I stayed in a cabin on Cayuga lake that was pretty affordable.

I live in Lake Tahoe. Its not bad at all. ;)Fall is a good time to come as long as youre early enough to beat the snow. It doesn’t get unbearably cold here. I’d highly suggest it. You can’t go wrong on any shore. My friends that come up usually do air bnb and the prices are pretty fair I’ve heard.

Should be beautiful then. Snow will not be here yet and the crowds should be dying down a bit as things get a little cooler.

You might look down in the Smoky Mountains area - Pigeon Forge, etc. My wife and I rented a very nice place down there for a very reasonable rate. Beautiful part of the country, especially in the fall.

Asheville area has some really nice cabins to rent and you can go into town and sample all the breweries if you like craft beer. Some great restaurants as well. you can also do the Biltmore if you like that kind of stuff. If you just want to get out into the woods you can do that too.

Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Tennessee is a great place. Rented various size cabins a few times there.

They have small cozy ones too

There is plenty of tourist stuff as well as stunning hiking trails throughout the smokies.

You may want to check out the Puget Sound, not really lakes more of the ocean but lots of islands with cabins. It is very beautiful and if you do early fall there definitely would not be snow. A nice bonus is there are lots of ferry boats that can take you different places even Seattle.
