Any suggestions please?

Hi, I was using Maxspect Aiptasia control yesterday to kill aiptasia, unfortunately where this certain aiptasia was I didn't know my melanurus wrasse was hiding under the rock where i was covering the aiptasia, now it has a small patch on it from the paste and today he's not using his left fin... it's eating ok but not swimming as good. i'm hoping that its not permanent damage and will heal any suggestions? TIA

Can you send a picture? I believe that chemical is calcium hydroxide in that product, which has probably produced a chemical burn on the fish. Watch carefully for any enlargement (which may suggest infection) - or any other symptoms. In general small burns heal without treatment.

PS - if you don't have a hospital tank and the wound is large, you might want to have some antibiotics (neomycin or kanamycin) on hand in case you need it

It's a relatively large surface area - but doesn't appear to be very 'deep'. I think the recommendations I gave earlier should be ok. Hopefully the fin will start 'working'
