Oh so you're the one! Had it in my cart and it disappeared!
Congratulations! Hopefully someone will chime in whose kept one of these beauties. I think the biggest challenge is getting them to eat. Are you quarantining it?
They aren’t really hard to get eating IME. Hardest part is getting a healthy one to start with. Make sure you worm it too. For me, if they arrive nice and thick behind the head you have a good chance. If they arrive pinched behind the head they die.
I had a harem for a few years. The dominant one eventually transitioned to male. Treat them like a leopard. Established tank, definitely deworm. Make sure it doesn't get bullied the first few weeks.
I have a lined tamarin wrasse. I got lucky. He eats any food I toss into the tank: pellets, brine or mysis. He is peaceful, reef safe and very active. Even in a 300 gallon, he uses every inch of tank. And he is hardy. I think that with “difficult” fish, if they get eating well, they are actually quite hardy.
