I have access to mysis shrimp in some of the lakes where I live. I am thinking of collecting some fresh and freezing it. Anybody done this? Any tips would be great!

TIA

I think without flash freezing it, it loses some of its nutritional value... but I could be wrong.

Good call. I am probably not set up to do that. ;) Maybe it will just be a summer time treat to feed fresh mysis. Wonder how long they take to die in salt water.

collect it soak them in a food booster then freeze them

I'd see this as possibly being ok, but you would want to remove them from their current water entirely, put them in minimal ro/di and the booster and freeze them in as little water as possible I would imagine.

I might give that a go. Couldn't hurt. Free food is always good. :) I'd probably rinse them in RODI water, then add a little selcon before freezing.
