Anybody watch EliteXC last night?

I am so glad Kimbo got KTFO!! Gotta give props to Seth, He grew up here and we have some mutual friends.. I've met him a few times and besides being a little wacky he is a stand up guy.

And what about Gina? She is smokin hot!!

Gina rocks... At one point, I said, I can't believe I'm watching two women beat the crap out of each other. She didn't fare too bad, though.

Kimbo was a little shell shocked... Once he was down, it was over. Man, it looks like fun.

Gina Carano is pretty hot. She should be fighting Chris Cybrg next which will be a war.

The Kimbo fight was a joke. Everyone knew as soon as he fought a real fighter he would get KTFO. Looks like elite xc will be looking for a new headliner.

What a fake IMO. I've seen Kimbo fight many times and have never seen such a small punch rock him. I have watched the video oveer and over and you can clearly see almost every shot after the first one didnt even hit it's mark. Glancing blows off the shoulder and top of the head. I think it's all about the $$$$$$. I also think if Ken Shamrock would have went toe to toe with Kimbo he would have went down. IMO Kimbo took the fall on purpose. I've lost a lot of respect for MMA after watching this. For those of you that havent seen it, here is a youtube link before they take ot down.

Bull$h!t!!! what the heck was that ref doing stopping the fight so quickly?!? I've seen fighters take a heck of a lot more punches/kicks before a ref ever steps in.

What fight were you watching? Once he went down Petruzelli just pounded him. Glancing blows? Are you serious? Kimbo got hit with about 10 shots to the head.

If it was all about the money then the fight would have been fixed in Kimbos favor. He's the headliner that brings in all the money for ELITE XC. Why would the fight be fixed against Kimbo? That doesn't make any sense.

Here's what happened. Kimbo finally fought someone who's not a can and he got KTFO.

Nahhh, I will differ with you on that, but I will agree with the glancing blows. He got hit by glancing blows not direct blows. That 1st little rabbit punch barely even moved his head and he immediately fell. Kimbo is a tank and got his with a BB, that was a fix if I ever saw one!!!

The first little rabbit punch isn't what made the ref stop the fight it was the 10 punches after that one that landed on the side of Kimbos head and face that ended it.

Why exactly would elite xc fix a fight so that they're biggest money maker loses? That makes no sense at all.

Once he got stunned, he did get hammered pretty good. Petruzelli made a number of good connecting punches to the head. When Kimbo first went down, he looked stunned, but I didn't see a good connection prior to him going down. I think Petruzelli was in the right place at the right time. I can't say that he's a better fighter (haven't seen too many of these), but he definitely got a break last night.

What does a merger have to do with the top fighter fixing a match? Why would you want your most popular and biggest drawing fighter lose to a scrub in 13 seconds? That makes NO sense.

EliteXc is already getting involved with Affliction (Based on the Arlovski fight and the fact that the 30 second Fedor - Sylvia fight was shown on every commercial break) but I would hardly call them a major player, the day they announced a PPV in California the UFC announced an event on the same day and they (Affliction) changed the date.

That wasn't a fix, that punch caught him in just the right spot. Didn't you see the cut on Kimbo's eye right after the fight? It was already starting to swell up then.


That being said bring on the upcoming UFC PPV's. Did everyone see the lineup for the New Years Eve PPV.
Interim heavyweight championship bout: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs Frank Mir
Light heavyweight championship: Forrest Griffin vs Rashad Evans
Light heavyweight Bout: Wanderlei Silva vs Quinton Jackson[3]

Any of these bouts could headline a single PPV and we get all 3 on the same card!

Yeah it was the same ref. Don't forget about the James Thompson fight. It was a different ref but still was a complete debacle!

Everyone already should have known..KIMBO WAS ALWAYS A JOKE!! If you didn't, just chalk it up to being a novice MMA viewer. Another dead giveaway is...Elite XC is on CBS...HELLO!!!! Sellout City!!

If UFC ever decides to add female fighting into their card, I think I will throw up. I'll give that short chick some credit, she was slugging it out, but the precision and excitement is totally missing. I, so, wanted Gina to LOSE. I'm surprised her daddy didn't run into the ring and give her a big french kiss.

Affliction is supposedly going on the rocks and might be going under in the near future. With that said, Fedor is still the greatest fighter in MMA. You could put that guy in the ring with someone that weighed 100lbs more and he'd still beat them. I just wish he was in UFC so he could show up most of those high priced babies Dana White tries to showcase as some of the greatest fighters.

I actually like watching the females fight. Your right it's not as exciting but it's still entertaining. Did you see the Gina Carano vs Kaitlin Young fight? Gina just kept smashing her with strikes while Kaitlin just kept throwing sub attempts. I thought that was an entertaining fight although it was stopped early.

No doubt Fedor is still the best fighter in the world. I'd like to see him get signed into the UFC before Randy is done. I think that would be a good fight.
