Hello all, I have new-ish setup, about a month and a half in after moving up from my 30g. Currently going through a diatom bloom along with some sporadic GHA. I saw these little feathery things on the glass and they cleaned off quite easily, but then they started popping up all over the rock. They have a green-ish base and white feathery looking things sticking out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! That’s not the best news. But I guess there’s a way to beat it. Hopefully.

I had stuff that looked like that but my fish would eat it. And it came off pretty easy (no 'roots' attached in the rocks). It was green hair algae. Mine is mostly gone now after margaritas.

Bryopsis is not tasty from what I've heard, so fish and inverts tend to avoid eating it. Plus, the 'roots' make it really difficult to dislodge
