Anyone diy their own reef moonshine elements?

Does anyone diy their reef moonshine elements? If so care to share your recipes? So far I have been able to diy fluoride and manganese at what I believe are the same concentrations in the RM bottles, I got both of those recipes here on r2r. I’d like to diy as many as possible to try and save some money. The flouride and manganese are substantially cheaper to diy. I have seen diy recipes posted on r2r for most of the elements but I’d like to make them in a way I can still use the rm dosing spreadsheet. My brain can’t math out how to determine the concentrations they use.
Can you please share your manganese and floride recipes? RM concentration? I can do the math for the most part but don't know the concentration of the RM products.

For fluoride I’m doing 2.22 grams per of Loud Wolf per 1ML of RODI, USMA turned me on to that. I did (2.22/1000)*3800 to make a gallons worth. I’m on your heels with the manganese formula. I’m about to need to make that soon. I have a couple more too, like bromine or bromide.

But, I’m leaning towards captivate. I like the single container idea, but I haven’t really researched it yet.

The diy recipes that are here are fantastic and gave me a place to start for sure. I was just hoping that someone on here had figured out the concentration for what I was looking for so I could just plug and play.

You can figure out the concentration from the dosing instructions. Reefmonshine Fluoride is 1000ppm

You can figure out the concentration from the dosing instructions. Reefmonshine Fluoride is im good on the floride. It's the manganese that I'm looking for. The calculator says 1ml of manganese into 100 gallons of water will raise your level by .26 ug/L. I put that into another calculator here and found that ms manganese has a 9880ppm concentration. Just need to figure out how all that translates into a recipe using manganese gluconate.

I do agree. I'll look again later. That's the reason I was hoping someone had already figured it out. I did your mix last night. I can just do separate math to use it instead of the ms spreadsheet. Thanks for the reply.
Correction 98.8 I obviously needed some sleep.

I take no credit for the recipe. A couple of others in another post showed me how to figure out the RM strength. That being said, according to the Reef moonshine calculator 1ml of RM Manganese will raise 100 gallons by .26 ug/L or .00026ppm. I’m not a math wizard but that should mean that the RM concentration is 100ppm which is what someone else stated in another post. So .31g of the Loudwolf manganese sulphate monohydrate in 1L would equal the RM 100ppm concentration. According to the loudwolf website the maganese content is 32%. If someone would like to double check my math I’d appreciate it. It’s making my brain hurt.

@Randy Holmes-Farley how do you feel about this version of Manganese? I am reeding through all the threads and considering doing a DIY one for me too. But this is the only thread I have seen this formation. Have seen you recommend two to others.

To be clear, I don't have any problem with folks protecting products how they can. After all, some I recommend only list ingredients and not amounts or chemical forms (e.g., AFR). I just don't like comments that are misleading as they try to do so.

If Tropic marine tells me: "We don't want to say how much vanadium is in AFR", that's fine with me. (hypothetical example)

But if Tropic Marine told me "Don't DIY vanadium because its too risky and complicated", then I would have a problem with that.

What about disclosing the mg/L? Would you consider that as a trade secret?

I don’t see how that can be successfully hidden if you know the starting and target concentrations and the tank volume.

You can use the moonshiner tools to figure out strength. Example 1ml will raise x element by x ppm in 100 gallons

Hey, how are you finding this recipe to work as far as being a rm manganese equivalent? Any real surprises in subsequent icp tests?

Thanks for posting this!

Anyone ever confirm the math? Is this correct for RM concentration?

Looks correct to me for the classic
