I was wondering if the aquatrance 2000s pump would be a direct/suitable replacement for the original 1800s that came on my skimmer. Was thinking about upgrading my skimmer but it looks like I can accomplish my goals with a pump swap if it will work. Skimmer in question is a Reef Octopus Elite 150int, it uses the ac powered aquatrance 1800s pump connected to the skimmer body via a short piece of silicone tubing. Looks like I would probably need to keep my original volute but maybe not an absolute necessity.

Hoping for a response from the weekday crowd. I have found some more info but it is not encouraging. Any other possible substitutes that will be slightly more powerful?
