I really like to fish, but stink at making time for it. I own a house that is about 100 feet from the shore of Lake Michigan, but I haven’t figured out how to fish it. I’ve tried a little with spawn sacks, but no luck. I just don’t know how to fish from shore. I have a kayak, but haven’t really tried from it besides dragging a lure around a few times. Here’s the view from my porch: 23BBEC38-25B6-495B-AB3A-102E23E84C18.jpeg

My friends and I like to backpack in the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area of WY every few years. We catch insane amounts of trout on those trips, mostly goldens. I caught this fish (not a golden) using a twig and some spare line because I’d already put away my rod for the day. 01054026-FE91-449F-A69C-B8E2B25265AD.jpeg EF4B2897-3B91-4700-BC2C-07D0AAE8E6D0.jpeg

I have been fortunate that my family owns 300 acres of private water and the fishing is good. I have grown up fishing. It is my peaceful past time. I got the itch for spring bass fishing already. Got a long way to go . 48BA3160-E6C8-4041-9C57-CE93A64058C7.jpeg B2077A91-B7E7-490E-8102-53147AC03A61.jpeg E86BEFE3-E86A-4E3A-86A3-D296B712D278.jpeg

I love catfishing. I would go with my two brothers and hang out on the river bank with a cigar and a beer and just enjoy the peace.
