I have a female and the males are harder to come by. Has anyone had experience having a female transition to a male if you add a second female? Wondering what the chances are.

A had a fairly large/mature female for a little while. How long, exactly? I don't remember. Maybe a little over a year? It never showed any signs of changing.

It could be that you need multiple to influence a change.

Well thats what I mean. I guess I didn't explain it properly. I already have a female. Thainking to add another to induce one of them to change since males are much harder to come by.

I've had my female for at least a year and a half. She's about 5". No sign of change.

So do you have 2 females? I'm asking if you have 2 females will one transition? Like clown fish but opposite. I have 1 female, considering adding a second.
No just the one. You'll definitely have a better chance of transition with competition.
