Thinking of doing this for the display. I don't like the "enclosed" canopy look and just curious what other thoughts may be I haven't considered...tia.

I had my T5 Nova Current on the legs that it came with. I don't know what my hubby did but the legs broke real easy. They are flimsy. The light is now hanging from the ceiling.

I have mine screwed ito a would frame that sits about 8'' off the surface of the water. With the lights on the stand offs it puts them about 6-6 /12'' off the surface of the water.....Basiclly it is a fram for a canopy with out the sides....

I have mine on the legs for over a year without a problem. You do have to be careful when moving the light because they legs do appear to be pretty fragile.

The lights are really close to the water, probably about 6 inches above.

I have a Sunlight Supply Tek T-5 fixture on the legs that came with it...they're very sturdy and I highly recommend them. I suppose if you overdo it with the tightening of the screw things that come with it you could strip them as I almost did, but they're very sturdy other than that.
