Found this while cleaning the sand... it looks like a snail but want to be sure and also what to know if it is good or bad. Here are some images showing both sides. Thanks.

No, I didnt see it physically moving but, I see it at different places on the sand. I believe it hides in the sand and it apear hard (covered by shell).

I came across stomatella in my tank in the past (see pic taken when i wondered what it was), but this one looks different.

depending on the angle we are looking it could be a coquina clam (Donax)
Here is something closest (as I was researching) that resembles what I saw in my tank... it is called Madagascar Sun shellfish.. not sure if anyone seen it?

It looks like the operculum of a deceased snail. RIP snail. :)
