I don’t think it is because there is no yellow on the tail and head

Is there a better photo by any chance?
It looks like a transitioning Halichoeres chloropterus from this angle (The Green head is the give away).

Definitely looks like it. Any idea on costs? My lfs is selling it under "miscellaneous wrasse" for £25 one staff member said he's been in the hobby for 7 years and never seen one. To me if you've never seen one in the last 7 years you'd find out what the fish actually is before selling it. Especially for £25

These are a larger Halichoeres so they aren’t commonly found. The larger the wrasse the harder it is to find especially at a cheap price. Often the larger wrasses aren’t caught because they get VERY aggressive and need giant tanks.

In comparison to other wrasses of equal size that seems a fair price. But since you're the one who bought it, it really only matters if you think it was a good price. If you like it, then enjoy it! That's what this hobby is all about. ;)
