Currently have a love hate relationship with this nem. Got it from the swap. Lost crap load of color and still is somewhat recovering.
It used to bubble up and expand but now it's been like this for the past couple of weeks.

The second picture is the most recent.
The last one was when I first got it.
The first pic is 3-4weeks ago

They go through phases; they're so unpredictable. (They don't have a brain.) It looks like it's doing okay to me. When they die it's quick, I'll tell you that. It looks like it has expelled some Zooxanthellae. Probably from a quick change in lighting. It will probably recover.

Check water parameters something is off. Also it could be flow or lighting issue but I would guess that it would move itself if that were there case.

Yeah looks fine to me also. Change of color, inflating, deflating, balling up... all normal.

Do you feed it? I had one that lost color until I fed it silversides. Color came back and even to the point that I could stop feeding it every other day.

Did a 12.5% water change last week, but the nem was acting up before then like 2 weeks ago. Oh and my clowns are hosting it. Dunno if that changes much. But yeah haven't done much to the tank. Unfortunately all my sticks are off too and my stylo is rtning so I'll check out my water soon. Still confused why.... They were okay one day and off the next.

I read that if they do bubble anemone symbiosis with no animals have to stretch their tentacles in signal that are available

Oh feeding it is a pain. This nem Is the slowest eater ever and recently hasn't been eating at all. Before it would eat every day (first pic) now it just sits in its tentacles while the main body retracts... The mouth isn't gaping so that is good.

reduce feeding to bi weekly to maybe weekly, dose bit of iodine into your tank. It should recover.

just fed it today (its been a week) and noticed that it has two mouths. in pic 2 I fed both sides with mysis and they went into different mouths (one on the right and one on the left) i think... Maybe its prepping for splitting? Dunno.

possibly splitting, they pms when they split but then they recover just keep an eye on it... i'm sure it will be fine if your params and lights are ok.

You can feed your anemone and your corals. Anaemone, not too often if given huge chunks of food. Their digestive system is really primitive from what I hear and it can harm them rather then do any good for them.

sent from under the sea using my awesome galaxy note 2.
