I'm sure you could but would probably cause it more damage this way... know anyone with a saw that you could borrow or bring frags to, to cut?

I have fragged them with a dremel but that was before coral bandsaws were around. You will damage a lot of polyps. I suggest borrowing one or bringing the coral to someone to cut for you if it's not worth buying one.
