So, I have the Green hair algae, no surprise, so I tried this;

ReefHD Reef Flux Anti-Fungal Treatment (100 gal)

I am through the first 2 week cycle and have started the 2nd cycle. No real results really. Anyone tried this? Did it work for you?

Can you give us some more info?
I see you have a biocube 32 from your other posts, photos of the GHA? How did you dose? Did you remove carbon etc? Walk us through your steps :)

I just finished up a 4 week treatment for bryopsis. It completely took care of the bryopsis and hair algea. It killed off the dictyota too but I noticed a couple small growths of that coming back. I'm now 3 weeks post treatment and still no hair or bryopsis algea.

I don't use carbon and have taken the Phosguard bag out. I dosed as directed, 1 capsule for each ten gallons. I will post pics tomorrow.

Yes, perhaps patience is a virtue here. I will see in another 2 weeks what happens.

Algae is a fungus? Or has the Vibrant dude re emerged LOL

…Curious anyway….looking that stuff up as we speak

I’m back…ok that explains why it works …
Reef Flux is a fluconazole treatment.

I used it to rid my tank of bryopsis and had some hair algae at the time. It took care of the bryopsis quickly and then it took care of the hair algae but it took longer. I’ve never used it just for hair algae though.

Here are some pics. It almost reminds me of turf or carpet algae;

What is your No3 and Po4 at?

Biggest thing that has helped me with the uglies and algae, is cutting out all spectrums of lighting for a week. If you don't have coral, just turn off the lights for a week.

Yes, thanks. I will let the medication run the 2nd course and if all else fails I will try that,
