Anyone using a moving/motorized light rail system?

I know these are used for growing. . . vegetables, anyone ever use one over a reef. Not saying it's a good idea, maybe it is? But curious if you have ever done it or seen it done?

About 15 years ago one of the fish stores near me had metal halides on a movable track, it was pretty cool. I don't think many people use them now though.
