Anyone with a 1st floor DT plumbed to basement sump willing to show me how it works?

I have a basement sump and I love it! My display is about 400 and the sump about 50. You rarely worry about leaks on the display and if the sump leaks it's no big deal. Here is a picture of the sump. You are definitely moving water upstairs but keep in mind that it's only the difference between the table in the basement and the floor above. Having the extra space to keep everything organized is a no brainier.

Thanks, everyone, this is really helpful! I’ve been neck deep in typical house projects - can’t wait until that is all done and I can focus on this!
