It’s been quite here , so though I would just post up. See if anyone had some good projects going, great coral growth you want to share. We finally moved here on my end, residents of Kodak. Beginning to restock the frag tank with fish.

I just purchased an icecap 36XL sump and an icecap 4k gyre pump in preparation of my tank upgrade from a biocube 29 to a SCA 120 :p I’m really excited for it all to shop. Haven’t ordered the tank yet though.

@Tyler White thats an awesome tank choice as well! And yeah, I hated to do it, but I couldn’t pass it up! It was like $100 off the sump and $50 off the power head. I’ve been buying my equipment a little at a time :)
So far, I’ve got
Lighting- P1802 Noopsyche hybrid and 3 K7 Pros
Flow- icecap 4K and icecap 1k
Sump- icecap 36XL

All I need now is a skimmer and a return pump. Any recommendations for a 120?

@Pistondog I was thinking about the bubble magus curve 7. It’s not dc, but it is less than $200 and seems to have pretty good reviews. Have you ever used them? And I was also considering the maxspect DC 6k for my return pump. I try to go less expensive where I can :)

Just to keep this new thread activity going.. I did something "new to me" the other day.

I had a Hairy Green Mushroom which had grown to over 12 inches in diameter (HUGE!) and was just taking up too much room in the tank. So, I split it in half and both halves started healing immediately. Within 48 hours they are back to circular and look great. I expect (assume?) over time they will pop back open to 4-5 inches wide.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in a trade for another coral, I am willing to give one of them up. Just let me know and we can meet and swap.
I also have some GSP which I will put on a couple frag plugs and throw in for free.

I am in Chattanooga.

See pics.

Howdy, all. I still have no active tanks. But have started planning a large "coffee table" build with center overflow. When my son moves out next year I plan to take over his bedroom as my office. And will bring the tank up functional then. That gives me time to build the tank and stand and buy the equipment.
