Apex A3 initial startup problems

I want to apologize in advance if this has been discussed a million times already.
I'm totally new to this entire reef process and I picked up an apex A3. I connected it to
the powerbar and plugged the powerbar in per the instructions form the fusion app.
It flashed different colors but never the blue that I was looking for.Anyone else have this problem?
I'm hoping it's just something I did wrong lol thanks
