Apex auto doser - help

I would like a dosing pump to run off my APEX but the price is too high for me. So I want to build one. If someone could point me to a similar project I would appreciate it.

My plan is to pick up a couple of dc perilastic pumps and control them adjusting the amount of power using pim switches as if they were LEDs. Does anyone know if this would work?

For clarity this is not something I know much about, sonplease be gentle if I'm suggesting something stupid.

You could just use BRS pumps and turn them on/off using outlets

That will get expensive. I dont have outlets available (but I do have switches and vdm)

You can try reef-pi. If you are on really low budget , then just a peristaltic pump and a 555 timer circuit should do.

I'm going to try the jaebo doser. I'll lose the ability to connect to my apex, but I can live with that.
