Apex Coding Help

Yes, thats them. The breakout box switches arent digital. So if it's in one, pull down SW1, rename it, unname that digital switch, and then test it.

I have it set for Switch 1, renamed it and then coded in the Skimmer, thats how I should do it right?

I had chat GPT help me, changed it to this:

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If Skimme CLOSED Then OFF
Defer 005:00 Then ON

I always do fallback ON except for "risky" items like a heater. But otherwise that should would. Assuming you want the defer statment that way. The way you have it written will make the skimmer wait 5:00 before turning back on after you empty of (theoretical) full cup.

To test it, leave the SKIMME switch on the dashboard, push the float up, and you should see the switch move from open to closed (or vice versa). It may have a short lag, but it should show that regardless of programming.

Ok, I will try again when I get home. What kind of delay is it normally? I was moving it up and down before and it didnt do anything but maybe its because I wasnt waiting long enough.

Its like seconds, if at all. Fusion doesnt constantly send data to the cloud and back, so when changing an input signal, it just waits for the next packet to send out.

Hmmm, ok. I will try again. Yeah I held it maybe a second or two and had no reaction and had it set to Auto.

Also, check you "locked" tiles and make sure you have the right switches. Usually theres an address for the module before the switch number. So instead of SW1, SW2, its say (something like) SWx3_1, SWx3_2, etc. I just want to make sure youre finding the correct BOB switch. The easy way is to name it, pull it to the dashboard, and then just activate teh switch and watch which tile switches.

Then its probably the wrong switch. Its convoluted with the generic addressing, so dont get down on it. I usually just pull them all down, actuate the switch, see which one responds, then move all the unused ones back up.
Hmmm, ok. I did put it to ground and SW1 on the breakout but will double check. It also doesnt say which is positive and neg on the float switch so maybe its backwards? Not sure if that matters, I know some can work either way

It probably doesnt matter. But thats not really what I was referring to. I was talking about the switches in locked tiles. Theres a lot of them, and finding the right one is sometimes tricky.
That being said, Im 99% sure it will just say SW1. I would try that one first.

Will do. Thanks!

It worked, thanks!
