Hi,

How do you setup the LSM to get the natural moon phases? I’ve had to copy another users profile, but maybe I shouldn’t have done this?

Shouldn’t the new moon phases be included? Can I go back to factory settings on this thing and set it up properly?

Thanks

I just plugged mine in and i works automatically. All programming included. Now getting your other lights to follow it is another story. Id love to figure that out for led/t5 hybrid

Yes, once plugged in, it will follow the natural moon cycles. If you need to mod this, then I would look on the Neptune systems forums for more detail. If the moon is out during the day, your lights will follow, some people don't like this and will offset them to match their local time or only on during the night.

All you should need to do is:

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Moon 000/000 Then ON

This should follow the natural moon phase.

This is what I get when I install it out of the box. Why is it peaking at 10 am? It’s like it’s backwards?

I believe it's based on the lunar cycle in the southern pacific, so it will be different than your local cycle.

Well that seems silly as the time difference is an issue?!?!

This is what I have. Currently showing 6% at the moment.

Set OFF
If Moon 000/000 Then ON

That’s what I have too but seems counterintuitive if we want the moon lights on during the night here?

You could add a line that shuts it off during the day and it only runs when your main lights are off.
Kinda like this:

If Output [light output name] = ON Then OFF

I see no reason to bother changing the table. If it’s following the wax/wane of the moon, there will be times when the full moon occurs during the day regardless of what geography you replicate. You won’t notice it when the main tank lights are on just like you don’t notice the moon in the sky during the day. You can ‘force’ it to only be on at night, but that rather defeats the purpose of the module.

I adjusted mine on the season table to follow my local moon rise/set. Just because I like it match the moon when I look out the window.

But yes it should run varying hours of the day
