Apex ph probe issue with shipped solution NIB

So my pH probe came in and the cap Is only one quarter full of fluid. I thought they needed to stay wet to keep them from being ruined when they dry out. Is it that the cap Leaked or is it normal to be only one quarter full when they ship it to you new?

Any fluid in the cap is adequate to keep the glass bulb from drying out. The air above that water in contact with the bulb will be at 100% humidity, so no drying will take place. :)

Its fine as long as its wet like randy stated, also keep the cap, if you ever need to store the probe refill the cap with 4.0 solution

I don't use my Apex Ph probe. Its not necessary nor fully accurate imo.

Why would it not be accurate if properly calibrated?
