Apex Problem - No connectivity need help (please)

I hardwire my A3 Pro. As we know the WiFi sucks. So, I shut the WiFi off on the unit and have it set to Network. It has been working like a champ. Except for the last 2 days. Out of no where my connectivity went to poop. So, I removed a switch, ought a brand new router and a new cat6 line. Nothing. I cannot get my Apex to connect.

- the Cat6 line feeding the Apex has wide open internet. Tested 6 times
- when I reboot the A3 Pro by taking the power cord out, both USBs and the cat6, everything in my fish room turns on and then off, like it normally would for a reset. But it never connects fusion to the Brain.
- it’s been ages since I tried to connect directly to the Apex. But, if I hit the toggle that says “WiFi off” did I just hose myself?

What am I missing ?

Doesn’t always say disconnected when it’s not connected to the internet? It feels like I need to do some factory reset on the brain. Everything is chugging along. The automation is still happening, so it is working in its local mode. I just can’t seem to pick my way into it.

I’ll close this loop in case someone else in the future has this problem. For a minute there I thought I was stuck in a circular reference.

OK - someone just said on here you can’t use Chat GTP to help wit reefing. I actually have been using 5 for reefing for about a month.

Anyway - The plugs that you use in order to hardwire items to on the back of my Xfinity Xb7 gave up the ghost. The unit worked for WiFi but it you could no longer feed switches and other devices. As you up above, I had to shut down the WiFi as it would sometimes switch to WiFi from hardwire. I noticed this when I hiked up my InSight. The XB7 must have been going bezel because the Apex got flustered and was frozen thinking it was receiving still from the XB7. Apparently the reset buttons are not in the same place from model to model. I never knew there was such a thing. It has 3 different functions depending. On how long you leave it pressed. Good lord, I must have come really close to the MOHAB of presses (30 seconds and your Apex gets zapped like Men In Black). But, a 6 second hold and it refresh’s comms and turns WiFi back on. However the refresh released the port and it instantly woke up. Very nice design. I can’t believe I said that about my Apex :)

Hi this happened to us as well. This is how we solved the problem if it’s what you’re referring to. I’m attaching the picture of what we added to extend the wifi and it puts you on a 2.4 GH and it’s supposedly what you should be on.

It connects you to an additional wifi. Here’s the link of the one we bought.. super easy to connect and it connects directly to apex brain and works.
