after a losing about 50 gallons of water out of my system due to a return Line coming off I got my hands on a apex. Ph probe is showing 9.2. I have the calibration formula that's 7.0 I'm waiting on the 10.0 now to get here. My ati test kit is very dark purple 8.8 or above. Tank has been up and running for over a year. 55dt 70 sump with 75 pond full of live rock.
Only parameters I have at the moment are salanit 1.025
Ph 9.21
Temp 77.1
No rodi unit.

I have a sca 130 skimmer running 24/7 2 air stones and a lot of surface movement.

Plan on upgrading tanks soon but if I can't get this one dialed in what's since in going bigger.

Never r

It's pretty much impossible for your pH to be 9.21. It has to be a testing/calibration error.

Wait until you get both the pH 10 and pH 7 calibration fluids then re-calibrate the probe.

In the meantime, don't sweat it. Your pH isn't 9.21

The whole time iv had it everything looked good in my tank I didn't mess with it other than wc. No dosing not much testing either to be honest. Have lost a few fish that I couldn't never explain. After coming close to losing everything in tank due to a drain line coming off I decided to invest in a apex which was used hopefully probe is just out of adjustment or needs A new one

The Apex has issues with the probes needing to be calibrated often. My pH probe, temp probe, and my salinity has been way off and I have to recalibrate.
