My temp probe is stuck at 96, but my tank is actually at 76. I have tried to unplug and plug the probe back in, re-route the wire, calibrated several times, and reset the controller. Still stuck at 96. Before it got stuck at 96 it would occasionally creep to 80 degrees and I would calibrate and it would last a while. What gives?

You could try taking it offline for a few hours, maybe clean in something like EzeClean? Then put it back in and use another thermometer to verify if the temperature is still off, and if so, recalibrate.

Temp probe is clean. In a dark spot of the sump so no algae.

Probably need a new probe.

You could boil a pot of water and put the probe in the hot water and see if it reads that properly. It probably won't be boiling by time you get it to the tank but it might be enough to give you an idea. Just submerge the metal part of the probe.
