How big of a concern is this? I know the waste line was in the container this morning (10am) but just now (11pm) found it in my sump. I'm assuming my cat was messing with it again. During this time it would have done 2 test with waste going into the sump. I currently have a bag of carbon in the sump.

The only downside would probably be - a change in CA/PO4/Alkalinity. Since there is none - it's no effect (yet). However, I don't know the chemicals used to do the test - ie the way and that would be a question for Neptune - i.e. assume that the chemicals used will be tossed out in the tube from the Trident. My guess is that the small amount of chemical is a non-issue.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
