Looking for a replacement for the 6-way star polyurethane tube valve connector, mine became clogged on the intake from sample and broke upon trying to clear the blockage. I know they sell a service kit, but it didn’t look like the valve was part of it. Looking for any solutions so please let me know. Thank you!

Apex wants $53 for the replacement flimsy piece of plastic. They’re an organization of thieves. If anyone knows a good alternative let me know. Such a joke of a company.

I hope someone has a 3d print file for this?

Bump
This is next to impossible to 3D print with current hobby grade printers. Each one of the inlets have a unique diameter to control flow to each of the reagents/waste. There is a marker for orientation that is installed at the 12 o'clock position to prevent improper mixing of the reagents

Yeah I did the same thing awhile back, now I don’t feel so stupid so thank you! Ha

They told me the same thing, it’s outrageous! I ended up just doing the exchange service as they send out a refurbished trident, some reagent, and a six month warranty. I just couldn’t spend the cheddar for that part.

Someone posted long ago that they ordered a diy kit and asked for the manifold and they included it free of charge with the kit. However when I tried that they said no.

lol yeah just been waiting for an alternative then moving entirely off them. Sorry part is $36 and $16 to ship something that would fit in a $0.50 envelope. They’re a joke.

Oh another poster put it out there that you can keep parts from your unit when doing the advance replacement option. I tried it and they didn’t say anything. Kept the vial , stirrer, dosing head, etc Before I sent it in. Just in case you want to stick it to the man! Ha

Edit, I didn’t try the pinch valves though

Counter opinion on Neptune, they have been awesome whenever i’ve had an issue. They’ve shipped me new probes, a new apex base unit, and they’ve been great when i’ve needed some help troubleshooting. I know this doesn’t help with your concern, but they’ve been amazing to me.

I’ve spent $3k+ over the years with them have had more issues of receiving defective products than I can actually count. I won’t buy again from them after this.

I get it man. That is frustrating. But i’d spend the $53 to keep the system running vs the thousands to buy a new controller system. Begrudgingly buy it and use the system till it’s old and tired, then get the Hydros. Which btw, i’m intrigued by. Would love to see some reviews on their system!

Buy a syringe needle with proper size. Push that needle through the six way valve. It is easily unclogged by this way. I did it before. Save money and time!

Pretty sure it’s broken, as mine was. I mean I have tremors but it broke easier than it should. Don’t sneeze while you’re flushing the manifold or it may snap a nipple.

If it was broken, need to buy a new one. 3D printer can not print so tiny and precise item.
