Recently got a hold of a par meter, and I'm looking for some generic instructions on usage. I'm aware they reccomend a 1.08 correction factor for underwater, and that this model isn't as sensitive on the blue spectrum as the 500/501.

I have LEDs, so I assume I'm correct to use the "SUN" mode? Also, given the sensors orientation matters for intensity of the reading, I assume it's best to keep the sensor parallel always facing straight up in the tank for more consistent readings?

I don't expect precise measurements here, just trying to get a ballpark idea with placements. Any tips/thoughts welcome!

Yes, have it on Sun. It does a consistent job and that's all that is really needed.

Dana Riddle had a good article on in Advanced Aquarist comparing it's testing results on LEDs to a LiCor.
