Aptasia is getting the better of me! Genuinely considering giving up :-(

I have berghia and they cleared my tank really well when I had like 300 men’s in my 10 gal. It took a while, but it’s been months and I haven’t seen another aiptasia. Then I thought they were cute so I started breeding them.

If you’re interested in offloading some of your aiptasia for anti-aiptasia funds (or a few of my berghia), let me know - my lil slug dudes run through them so fast.

Also I have had luck wit my peppermint eating them, but he’s a jerk and terrorises my anemones which the nudis don’t do.

Lol I felt so bad throwing away all my live rocks with aiptasia on it. I felt like I was killing an animal. Look how big they got.

I feel ya. I have one or two that are about 2” across. Their color is blah but they’re fun to feed. I feel equally guilty when I cut them in half with scissors to make more, but have no emotional response to scraping them off the glass and throwing them to my tank of hungry berghia XD

Yes! They move so cute when eating. I used to just watch them and oh boy, they got out of control! I just had to get rid of the whole tank.

Man we are in the same boat just that my tank is bigger. I've tried a copperband before and he took care of all of them, thing is once I was aptasia free I sold him to a reefer in need. So now I have to look around for another one.
