I wanted to share my recent success story of my battle with aptasia. I purchased a 25 gallon tank from my friend a couple of weeks ago. He gave me all the corals with it. They were absolutely covered in aptasia. I set the tank back up without a sand bed. I then added two peppermint shrimp. In less than a week, they had cleared out every single one. I am hunting all over the tank and cannot find any. That is incredible. Thought I would share in case anyone else is battling them as well.

You won the battle but the war will continue. Well done...

Peps are great... for some people....other people get peps and they won't touch the aptasia. Only Berghias actually have them as their sole source of food however....they will wipe them oit then starve so ya gotta share them and pass them around

Good job! Keep an eye on it. Is this an AIO? Aips love to hang out in the back or sump and re-invade when the CUC becomes lazy. Sometimes have to refresh the pepps when they start preferring other food.

The war begins when we as consumers stop making excuses for vendors that allow Aiptasia to remain in their systems stating it's not really an issue.

my peps work great for my aptasia, only problem is they eat my
