aqua controler 3 help

I am looking at getting the ac3. I have been doing the research, and there is many extras to buy. Do the the high price I can only get a few things at a time. My start-up purches will consist of the AC3 w/ temp probe, 2 PH probes, direct connect 8, and the serial interface cable/ & software.
What I am wanting to know is there anything else that I will need to get started and what that might be.
I am planning to control the temp, monitor the PH in the tank, and coming out of the cal reactor, and controling the release of the CO2. So any info on this would be greatly appreciate, and thanks for any helpful info.

you should be fine with what you are getting. If you want to drop something the serial interface cable and software is not needed. It does make it easier to setup but i never use that stuff anymore. Once you have it online you can edit/change it all there.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but doesn't the serial interface cable connect the ac3 to the computer, and the software is what lets you control the ac3 off of the computer.

if you have a router and plan to connect it online you can do all your changes and edits that way. No need for it. But for the first setup it is easier to do that way.

You use the interface on the ac3 to set it up.
