Aqua medic t controller twin sensor placement

I have a aqua medic t controller twin unit and am wondering where you should be putting the temp sensor?

Currently I have it in the return section just before the filter socks. This is the temp straight from the DT into sump. Or should it be placed else where within the sump?

I would say it ok in any compartment the heater is not in
